Title: Individual and Annual Fund Manager 
Reports to: Chief Development Officer (CDO) 
Classification/FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt   
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid; must reside in or relocate to Jacksonville, FL)   
Salary Range: $55k - $65k 
 
Position Summary: 
The Individual and Annual Fund Manager will lead the organization’s efforts to grow and sustain individual giving and annual fund contributions. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, with a focus on individuals who contribute annually. The role includes managing a portfolio of donors, planning direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns, organizing donor recognition activities, and collaborating with the development team to align fundraising efforts with the organization's mission and goals. 
 
The Individual and Annual Fund Manager will work closely with the executive team and board members to increase the visibility of giving opportunities, identify new donor prospects, and ensure a personalized donor experience. This position also includes monitoring and reporting on the performance of annual giving initiatives, tracking donor engagement, and ensuring proper data management within the donor database. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Stewardship and cultivation of individual donors, JGL Society, and Alumni engagement efforts/plan initiation. 
  • Create and execute an annual stewardship plan. 
  • Liaison for donor content that should be included in Annual Report. 
  • Responsible for touch points to new donors (calls and utilizing current GSGC technology) and ensuring that all individual/group-based donors at $250 and above receive a direct touch ($250-$499); CEO ($500- $4999) or Board ($5000+). 
  • Responsible for creating an annual fund theme to achieve individual giving goal and writing/coordinating year-end and spring appeals (possibly sending to a printer to fulfill). 
  • Works with the GSGC Marketing team to ensure that all ask, and donor touchpoints appear on GSGC social media (i.e., messaging coordination). 
  • Manage the creation and implementation of timelines, programs, and task lists for all Girl Scout special events, including but not limited to: Women of Distinction (WOD) and Women Who Make a Difference Events (WWMD) events and large council sponsored events as assigned.  
 
Full duties include but not limited to:  
  • Works with the Events Manager contractor to execute WOD and WWMD Events, manages corresponding committees, and engage any planned giving donors via stewardship events. 
  • Manage volunteer committees for appropriate events: recruit new members, schedule and conduct planning meetings, to include post-event discussions. 
  • Manage event finances, including sponsorships, invoices, and donations while utilizing the donor database. 
  • Manage follow-up with vendors, sponsors, attendees, and staff members following each event. 
  • Manage the creation of sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of sponsorships for programs, events, pillars, and other opportunities identified in the annual plan of work. Expected to lead fulfilment of the sponsorship agreement obligations. 
  • Work with the Fund Development Committee to keep that revenue stream engaged with support from the Development Coordinator as designated by the CDO. 
  • Work with the CDO to generate ideas for re-engaging lapsed donors. 
  • Will have support from the Events Manager Contractor. 
  • Manages processes to move volunteers to donors.

  • Masterful corporate relations, consultative sales experience and strategic philanthropy knowledge, skills and abilities required.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, work independently, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.   
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.   
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and writing skills.   
  • Experience developing and administering work plans, budgets, and program evaluation.   
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other database systems.   
  • Ability to adapt quickly to address unexpected projects. 
 
 
 
Education and Experience:   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, capital campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and endowment funds. Demonstrated portfolio of fundraising success in cultivating up to seven-figure gifts. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.   
  • Technologically proficient, with expertise in tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and webinar platforms.   
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of the Girl Scout movement; must be willing to register as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.   
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively across the council’s region.   
  • Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends.   
  • Ability to pass a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 background check.
