Title: Membership Support Manager
Reports to: Director of Membership
Classification/FLSA Status: Regular, Full Time, Exempt
Location: Hybrid
Position Summary
The Membership Support Manager is responsible for implementing and assessing a comprehensive year-round membership support and retention growth strategy that increases girl, adult and volunteer membership within an assigned geographic area. This position will serve as the local subject matter expert and primary point of contact for community volunteers, troops leaders, and members. The Membership Support Manager is responsible for meeting assigned girl and adult renewal and retention goals that support council-wide sustainable organizational health and increased participation in the Girl Scout Movement. In this key operational position, the Membership Support Manager will partner with community managers (volunteer position) to foster strong and positive community relationships and grow volunteer involvement year over year, with a heightened support for new volunteers in their first year of service. The Membership Support Manager works collaboratively with other members of council staff to achieve the council's strategic plan, implement the tactical membership growth plan, and meet designated KPIs which cultivates increased supporters of Girl Scouts of Gateway Council.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for implementing a robust girl, adult, and volunteer retention plan for a specific geographical area in the council jurisdiction, including Early Bird and On Time renewal campaigns, lapsed member re-engagement, tracking performance of campaigns, and collaborating cross-functionally to increase year over year current member participation in Girl Scouts.
2. Cultivate and maintain local community volunteer relationships and serve as a collaborative partner and advocate for each assigned community.
3. Identify, recruit, and support local volunteers to fill key community level positions, provide mentorship to new and existing troop leaders through the volunteer lifecycle, increase local engagement in Girl Scouts, strengthen local Girl Scout events and activities, and assist in conflict resolution as needed.
4. Develop a plan of work to support the onboarding of new troop leaders and volunteers, and provide continuous communication and support at critical touchpoints throughout onboarding (i.e. first 30 days, 60 days, 90 day, etc.)
5. Partner closely with the Placement Specialist and Recruitment Manager to guide potential girl, adult, and volunteer members the registration pipeline and place new members into troops and/or volunteer roles.
6. Collaborate with the Volunteer Experience team to inform on training and support resources needed to increase retention of first year troop leaders and volunteers.
7. Understand and easily navigate membership analytics and uses data to inform retention tactics.
8. Identify the need for and provide timely problem solving and conflict resolution support and/or intervention when appropriate.
9. Partner across membership, volunteer experience, community development, girl experience and operational departments to ensure a high level of knowledge and understanding to perform core functions of the role at a high level through various seasons in the membership year.
10. Exemplify active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
11. Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Recommended Skills, Education, and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher; or equivalent experiencewith four years of directly related work experience in a membership-based organization or non-profit, sales, volunteer management, relationship management, public speaking, training, or a related field. Two years of managerial experience leading high-performance teams preferred.
· Experience in volunteer management, member recruitment and/or retention and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Experienced in data management using sales/customer management software or CRM; Advanced skills in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Suite platforms, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, preferred.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills; Bi-Lingual Spanish a plus.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
· Travel throughout council jurisdiction up to 30% of the time; Able to work primarily on-the-road within an assigned area, with minimal time in a traditional office setting.
· Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid operator license.

Compensación: $45,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
